Built in a real print shop

Prepress Buddy came out of Stellar Signs, a sign and large-format print shop in Coquitlam, British Columbia. The problem it solves is the one that costs print shops the most money: files that look fine on screen and fail on the press.

Low-resolution logos stretched across a ten-foot banner. RGB artwork sent to a CMYK press. Missing fonts, missing bleed, hairlines that vanish. Every one of those is a reprint, a delayed job and an awkward phone call.

So we built the check we wanted: automated, objective, and fast enough to run on every job. Then we added the AI restoration that fixes what the check finds — upscaling, denoising and face restoration on dedicated GPUs.

How we build

Everything reported on screen comes from a real analysis of your file. When a model isn't available on a worker, the platform says so and labels any classical fallback as classical. We would rather show an honest limitation than a convincing-looking number that means nothing to a press operator.
